Privacy Policy

The Cache Valley Bread Company · Effective Date: 3 September 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how The Cache Valley Bread Company (“Cache Valley Bread Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit cachebakery.com (the “Site”), sign up for our Weekly Knead subscription, or place a one-time order. By using the Site or the Service, you agree to the practices described here. This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions.

2. Who We Are

The Cache Valley Bread Company is a small, locally owned bakery based in Cache Valley, Utah, co-owned by Holly Teeples and Aspen Teeples. We're a two-person operation — there's no marketing department or data-analytics team behind this policy, just Holly and Aspen personally handling every order and every customer conversation.

3. Information We Collect

We collect the information you provide directly when you sign up for Weekly Knead or place an order, including:

  • Your name, phone number, and email address
  • Your delivery address
  • Your selected plan and bread preferences
  • Any message or comments you add when signing up
  • Whether you opted in to hear about new breads

We also collect information you send us directly by text, call, or email when you contact us — for example, to skip a delivery, change your plan, or ask a question.

We do not collect or store your payment card or bank information ourselves. Payment is handled entirely through Venmo, a third-party payment service — see Section 5 below.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Set up, bake for, and deliver your Weekly Knead subscription or one-time order
  • Contact you about your order or delivery, including the renewal reminders described in our Terms and Conditions
  • Respond to questions, changes, skips, and cancellation requests
  • Send you occasional updates about new breads, but only if you opted in to receive them

We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not use it for anything beyond running Cache Valley Bread Company.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We do share limited information with the outside services that help us run Weekly Knead:

  • Google Forms — our subscription and order sign-up form is hosted by Google. Information you submit through that form is also subject to Google's own privacy practices.
  • Venmo — payment for subscriptions and orders is processed through Venmo, which has its own privacy policy governing the payment information you provide directly to them.

We may also share information if required to do so by law, or to protect the safety of our customers or business.

6. Cookies and Website Analytics

Our Site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our Site. These tools may use cookies and collect information such as your browser type, pages visited, and general location. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

7. Email and Text Communications

If you check the box to hear about new breads, we may send you occasional emails or texts about what's baking. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or simply letting us know by text or email. We will still send you service-related messages — like renewal reminders or delivery updates — related to an active subscription or order, since those aren't marketing.

8. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as you're a subscriber or have an active order with us, and for a reasonable period afterward in case you resubscribe or have a question about a past order. If you'd like us to delete your information sooner, you can request that at any time using the contact information in Section 11.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive information (like payment details) through email or text — payments should always go through Venmo.

10. Your Choices and Rights

Even though a small business like ours isn't required to under Utah law, we're happy to honor reasonable requests to:

  • See what information we have on file for you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your information, once you're no longer an active subscriber
  • Opt out of marketing emails or texts at any time

Just reach out using the contact information in Section 11, and we'll take care of it directly.

11. Children's Privacy

Our Site and Service are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will delete it.

12. Other State and Federal Privacy Laws

We currently deliver only within our Cache Valley, Utah service area, so we don't expect this Site to be regularly used by residents of other states. If that changes, or if a specific state's privacy law applies to you, please contact us and we'll work with you on your rights under that law.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date below and, where appropriate, let current subscribers know.

14. Contact Us

Questions about this Privacy Policy, or requests about your personal information, can be sent to orders@cachebakery.com, holly.teeples@gmail.com or aspenteeples@gmail.com, or by text or call to (801) 645-4794.
